     Terms and Conditions & Waiver

These Rental Terms and Conditions, the rental document you receive when you are given access to the vehicle you are renting (the “Rental Contract”) any additional agreement signed by you, any documents or agreements (or links to on-line documents or agreements) sent to you electronically in connection with your rental), the Privacy Notice, and the return receipt or record (the “Rental Receipt”) with computed rental charges together constitute the “Rental Agreement” between yourself and Reyes Rentals LLC identified on the Rental Contract .

Any change in the Rental Agreement or our rights must be in writing and signed by an authorized officer. You further agree that we have the unilateral right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time either upon written notice to you, in paper or electronic form, or upon our posting such changes on the web site. Such changes will apply to rentals that you reserve after such notice has been given, as indicated by the date of such notice, if sent in written form, or the date such changes are posted on the web site, which date will be indicated therein, without any requirement by you to sign the changed Terms and Conditions. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will be posted as they occur on the web site atwww.reyesrentalspr.com and will govern all rentals commencing after posting even if the terms provided at time of reserving the rental vehicles are different.

All Vehicle rentals are subject to availability as well as prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. 

An additional fee might apply if changes are made to your return date/time or location.

Smoking is not allowed; if the smell is detected, we will charge a fee to the credit card on file, $100.

The car must be returned with a full tank of gas as it was given to you, or a $20 refueling fee plus the amount total it took to refuel will be charged to the credit card on file or taken from the security deposit regardless of the amount needed to refuel.

Please return the car clean if the car is too dirty, a cleaning fee of $50 will be charged to the credit card. Meaning, no excessive sand, mud and trash inside of the car as well as no excessive mud or dirt outside of the car. The driver is responsible and liable for any damages caused to the Car. The Driver agrees to be contacted about the rental by call or text at the phone number provided.

The driver is responsible and agrees to allow us to charge the credit card on file for any traffic violation fee or damage to the rental without the need to receive the client’s approval. For any traffic violations/fines/infringement  we encourage our customers to let us know immediately to avoid any additional fees. If left unknown it can take up to 2 years to charge a card on file for the violation and will result in a fee of $100 plus the cost of the ticket and any additional fees the government may add.

Reyes Rentals LLC is not responsible for any valuables left behind. When returning the vehicle the customer must verify and check the vehicle for any belongings.

In the event that the customer loses their vehicle key there is a $100 fee charge for replacement as well as the cost of making a new key. 

We will keep the $100 dollar deposit for any incident requiring repairs and can be charged more if the cost of fixing is higher than the deposit or if their violation ticket is higher than the deposit as well. 

Reyes Rentals LLC offers a convenient e-Toll service for travelers who want to drive on toll roads.  $8.99 per day if not, You will be charged for the cost of the tolls, plus a service fee of $10 per usage day plus the cost of the toll.  This fee will only apply to each day during your rental when you choose not to use the e-Toll. This payment will be taken out of your refundable deposit or charged to the credit card on file. Anytime you drive through a toll booth without using an alternative form of payment (such as cash or card), you opt-in to Reyes Rentals LLC e-Toll service. Keep in mind that when you add the $8.99 tolls service it is not an unlimited toll service it just saves you from having to pay the daily service fee. If you exceed the daily limit of tolls the difference will be taken from your security deposit.

Toll fees may take 4-8 weeks to be billed to you through the card you used to pay for your rental.

One Additional drivers can be added at no additional cost. Must be over 21+ with a valid drivers license. If using your own insurance to insure your rental both drivers must be under that insurance policy or each provide their own insurance policy to cover each individual. 

Reyes Rentals LLC requires a credit card on file when booking with us. We do not charge the credit card initially for the rental it is just to have on file in case of any damages that might occur to the vehicle while rented. Customer can make their car rental payment with either a debit card or credit card. NO CASH. If damages were to incur the customer agrees that their debit or credit card can be charged to receive the payment of any fees inquired. 

Reyes Rentals LLC has a 30 minute wait limit to drop off or pick up vehicle from the customer. The customer is responsible for letting the driver know what exact time they would like the drop off or pick up. If customer exceeds the 30 min wait time there is a waiting fee of $20.

RED EYE FLIGHTS: Reyes Rentals LLC  can deliver/pick up/ drop off vehicles at any time of day or night. Now if there is a flight from 12AM-7AM we leave the vehicle in the airport parking lot for customer to conveniently pick up or drop off the vehicle with no rush in the middle of the night. There is no additional fee for this but the customer is responsible for the parking lot ticket fee to get the car out of the parking lot whether they are dropping off or picking up. Customer will not get refunded for the parking ticket. If customer dropped off the vehicle the price of the parking ticket will be deducted from their security deposit.

Our Security Deposit Policy requires a deposit of $100, charged when booking is made. This deposit acts as a guarantee against any potential additional costs incurred during the rental period. When you return the vehicle without any additional charges such as damage to the vehicle or late return fees, we will initiate the refund process for your deposit. Please note it may take up to 10-15 business days for the amount to reflect in your account due to varying bank processing times.

I am fully aware of the rules and hazards related to Drive a Jeep and any vehicle provided to rent by Reyes Rentals LLC. I voluntarily assume the risk of injuries, regardless of any severity, including death, that may incur to myself and all risk of damage to or loss of property which may occur as a result of my participation in Reyes Rentals LLC vehicle rental.

I, for myself, my heirs, successors, and assignees do hereby release, discharge, and waive any and all responsibility of the Reyes Rentals LLC its officers, agents, representatives, and employees from and against all claims of liability from any and all trauma, injury, damage, expense, handicap, disability, including death, and from damage to or loss of property which may be suffered by arising out of, or in any way resulting from or attributable in whole or in part to my traveling to or from the designated pick up and drop off location.

I agree to abide by all the event/ program’s rules and regulations regarding any and all of my participation in this program. This Informed Consent and Waiver Agreement will be construed under and pursuant to the laws of Puerto Rico.

I, the undersigned, am 21 years old and competent and legal to submit this consent release and waiver, and I have read and understood all the provisions contained herein, by clicking the submit button below, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Guest no-show

If a guest fails to cancel and doesn’t show up for the trip within 30 minutes of its scheduled start time, it’s a guest no-show. If a guest has booked a trip in a reyesrentalspr.com, has not canceled their trip, and does not show up for 12 hours after the trip’s scheduled start time, it’s a guest no-show. A guest who shows up to a trip with no license, an invalid license, or sends their additional driver in their place is also a guest no-show. Reyes Rentals LLC will cancel guest no-show trips, and will not provide any refund. Customer who does not properly cancel their order will not receive their security deposit as well as be automatically charged 50% of their rental total. 

Exceptions

Exceptions to the guest refund amount for cancellations outside the free period and for no-shows may apply in the event of a flight delay or flight cancellation.When any of these events happen, please send us an email to [email protected] or call us at 7879803010.

Cancellation Policy.

If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before reservation you will be refunded.  If you cancel under 7 days from the reservation date, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee, if you cancel 2 days or less you will not get your deposit refunded and will be automatically charged 25% of your order. All cancellation requests must be emailed to [email protected] or contact us 787-980-3010 with a valid reason for cancellation. 

Complete payment of vehicle rental and waivers must be signed 12 hours in advance before the customers rental date. If a customer fails to make payment or sign waivers with a copy of their credit card & license proof they are subject to cancellation with no deposit returns. 

Flight delays or flight cancellations

If a guest’s flight is delayed or canceled, they must message their driver to tell them and to request a trip modification for a new start time. Suppose Reyes Rentals LLC cannot or does not accommodate a new start time the trip must be canceled. In that case, Reyes Rentals LLC will issue the guest a full refund if documentation is provided. Guests must notify Reyes Rentals LLC of the flight delay or cancellation at least 1 hour before the scheduled trip start time. They must provide documentation, such as a screenshot from the airline mobile app or website, showing the flight issue. The guest must notify the host of a flight delay or cancellation within at least 24 hours of the trip’s scheduled start time to be eligible to benefit from this cancellation policy. If the guest’s flight is canceled/delayed more than three days before the trip start time, this policy does not apply.

Early Returns

If the guest returns the car before the time in the original contract in that case, Reyes Rentals PR  will not return any part of the total rental amount at the moment of the rent besides the deposit if the car is returned between our jeep returning policies.

You represent that you are a capable and validly licensed driver and will remain a capable and validly licensed driver throughout the term of your rental. You agree that we have the right to verify that your license has been validly issued and is in good standing (not suspended, revoked or otherwise restricted in any way) as a condition precedent to each rental; and that we may in our sole discretion refuse to rent to you if your license is not in good standing. We reserve the right to deny rentals based upon (i) information about your license status, (ii) authenticity of your driver’s license or other credentials, (iii) the inability to verify your identity or payment methods, (iv) your driving record provided by the Motor Vehicle Department of the jurisdiction that issued your license, or (v) any other information received from any other source in the business of validating an identity or the driver’s license credential that we believe to be reliable. We reserve the right to validate your driving credentials and license good standing periodically without notice to you except as required by law. Except where otherwise specifically authorized by applicable law, only you, your spouse or domestic partner, or, if you rent from us under your employer’s corporate account agreement, your employer or a regular fellow employee incidental to business duties may drive the vehicle (each a “Permitted Driver”), but only with your prior permission. Any Permitted Driver must be at least 21 years old and must also be a capable and validly licensed driver at all times during which such person is operating the vehicle. Any person other than you or a Permitted Driver that operates the vehicle must sign an additional driver form at the time of the rental. We may charge for each additional driver authorized to drive the vehicle, which will be specified on the Rental Contract. You acknowledge that you will remain financially responsible under the Rental Agreement at all times even if the vehicle is operated by a Permitted Driver or someone other than yourself.

You agree to return the vehicle to us in the same condition you received it, on the date, at the time and to the location specified in the Rental Contract. You must return it sooner on our demand. If you return it earlier or later, a different or higher rental rate may apply and, if returned later, you may also be charged a late return fee. You may not return the vehicle outside of the return location’s operating hours unless specifically allowed by that location. If you do, your responsibility for damage to or loss of the vehicle will continue and all charges stated on the Rental Contract as a periodic rate will continue to accrue until the return location reopens and we process the return of the vehicle. If you wish to extend any rental you must contact us at 787-980-3010 or use a method we approve to request the extension before your return date. We may or may not grant an extension or decline to grant it for the entire period you request, in our sole discretion. If you do not return the jeep to the location specified in the Rental Agreement, as and when required under the Rental Agreement, you may be subject to criminal penalties. If we do grant an extension a different or higher rate may be applied to the extension period and a service fee may also apply.

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed return location as specified on the Rental Contract. If return is indicated to a location other than the location where your rental commences, you may have to pay a one way service fee. If you return the vehicle to a different location from the agreed return location without our permission, you agree to pay an unauthorized return location fee specified by us.

Pick up/drop offs are only to be made either in the SJU airport or San Juan metro area where customers can customize the pick up drop off at no additional charge. If the customer Wants any other location around the island there could be exceptions if the driver agrees to it and it's within driving limits. additional fees may apply for any out of range customizations. 

Unless otherwise indicated on the Rental Contract, the minimum charge is two days (48 hours), unless “calendar day” is indicated on the Rental Contract. The daily charge applies to consecutive 48 hour periods starting at the hour and minute the rental begins or, if a calendar day is specified on the Rental Contract, each consecutive calendar day or any part of a calendar day starting on the calendar day on which the rental occurs. If you fail to comply with any conditions for special rates specified on the Rental Contract our otherwise applicable rates will be charged. You’ll pay all charges that apply to the rental for miscellaneous services and, where permitted, airport facility fees and/or concession recovery fees, vehicle license recovery fees, other fees and surcharges. If the vehicle is returned damaged in any way  the person on the rental contract will be charged for any and all repairs. While the vehicle is rented to the person on the contract, if any tickets are received it will be charged to the person on the contract.

 The vehicle will have basic insurance including a $500 deductible in case of an accident that you, the client are responsible to pay to Reyes Rentals LLC within 7 business days of the accident. Please notify your driver, Reyes Rentals LLC immediately after contacting the police at 911 and filing a police report.In case of any accidents or car breakdowns the customer agrees to only use our car towing company provided by the hosts insurance. If the customer/renter chooses to use any other car towing service the fees are the customer/renters responsibility. If a customer/renter is in an accident they should call 911 to make a police report and contact Reyes Rentals LLC immediately at 7879803010 as well as their host.

All vehicles associated with Reyes Rentals LLC are equipped with Tile/airtag Tracking devices for the purpose of vehicle tracking. These devices shall not be disabled by the user under any circumstances. By booking a vehicle with Reyes Rentals LLC, all guests agree to this tracking mechanism, which is implemented solely for security reasons.

The information obtained from these tracking devices is strictly safeguarded in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and Tile's own Terms and Agreement, specifically those terms associated with data collection through the use of Tile's. This data is primarily collected to ensure the safety and security of both our guests and our vehicles.

Access to this data is strictly controlled and is only granted under specific circumstances where there is reasonable cause to believe that the safety of our guests or the integrity of our vehicles has been compromised. Reyes Rentals LLC takes privacy and data protection seriously, and we are committed to respecting the legal rights of our guests while also prioritizing safety and security.

Renter will use the Rented Vehicle only for personal or routine business use, and operate the Rented Vehicle only on properly maintained roads and parking lots.NO OFFROADING. Renter will comply with all applicable laws relating to holding licensure to operate the vehicle, and pertaining to operation of motor vehicles. Renter will not sublease the Rental Vehicle or use it as a vehicle for hire. Renter will not take the vehicle location limit.

Renter will be required to provide a security deposit to Owner in the amount of $100 dollars (“Security Deposit”) to be used in the event of loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle during the term of this agreement. Owner may, in lieu of collection of a security deposit, place a hold on
a credit card in the same amount.  In the event of damage to the Rental Vehicle, Owner will apply this Security Deposit to defray the costs of necessary repairs or replacement. If the cost for repair or replacement of damage to the Rental Vehicle exceeds the amount of the Security Deposit, Renter will be responsible for payment to the Owner of the balance of this cost.

Payment of booking can be made with a debit card but we will ask for a credit card to put on file. Credit card will not be charged unless there are damages made to the vehicle in which we are unable to charge the debit card on file.Credit card has to be the main driver or the person who made the booking with a valid ID/ Drivers licence. If the customer is unable to provide any credit card their booking can get cancelled with no security deposit returned.

If customer decides to use their own full coverage insurance Renter must provide to Owner with proof of insurance that would cover damage to the Rental Vehicle at the time this Car Rental Agreement is signed, as well as personal injury to the Renter, passengers in the Rented Vehicle, and other persons or property. If the Rental Vehicle is damaged or destroyed while it is in the possession of Renter, Renter agrees to pay any required insurance deductible and also assign all rights to collect insurance proceeds to Owner.

Renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Owner for any loss, damage, or legal actions against Owner as a result of Renter’s operation or use of the Rented Vehicle during the
term of this Car Rental Agreement. This includes any attorney fees necessarily incurred for these purposes. Renter will also pay for any parking tickets, moving violations, or other citations received while in possession of the Rented Vehicle.

Owner represents and warrants that to Owner’s knowledge, the Rental Vehicle is in good condition and is safe for ordinary operation of the vehicle. Renter represents and warrants that Renter is legally entitled to operate a motor vehicle under the laws of this jurisdiction and will not operate it in violation of any laws, or in any negligent or illegal manner.Renter has been given an opportunity to examine the Rental Vehicle in advance of taking possession of it, and upon such inspection, is not aware of any damage existing on the vehicle other than that notated by separate Existing Damage document.

Taxes and website fees are 15% breakdown of 11.5% for Puerto Rico Taxes and 3.5% for webpage fees.

The following conduct may result in the reporting of the vehicle you have booked as stolen to law enforcement, possibly subjecting you and any other driver to arrest, and civil and/or criminal penalties, and the voiding of your protection plan: If you fail to return the vehicle you booked at the time and place agreed upon with the host and/or designated in your reservation. If you do not return the vehicle by the end of the reservation period and you have not properly obtained an extension of the reservation through the Services as set forth. If the vehicle is returned to any place other than the return location on the reservation or agreed upon with the host. Any damage to, or loss or theft of, a vehicle occurring prior to the host inspecting the vehicle upon return at the end of the reservation is the guest’s responsibility. If you misrepresent facts to the host pertaining to booking, use, or operation of the vehicle. If the vehicle’s interior components are stolen or damaged or the vehicle itself is stolen or damaged when the vehicle is left unlocked or running or unattended with the keys not secured during reservation period. If you fail or refuse to communicate in good faith with the host, police, Reyes Rentals LLC or other authorities with a full report of any accident or vandalism involving the vehicle or otherwise fail to cooperate in the investigation of any accident or vandalism. If the vehicle is operated by anyone who has given a fictitious name, false address, or a false or invalid driver’s license, whose driver’s license becomes invalid during the reservation period, who has obtained the keys without permission of the host, or who misrepresents or withholds facts to/from the host or Reyes Rentals material to the booking, use, or operation of vehicle. The primary guest who books the reservation is responsible for any private investigation costs Reyes Rentals LLC deems necessary to recover a vehicle that is not returned. In addition, a $1000 case administration fee will be imposed on the primary guest if Reyes Rentals LLC and/or the host has to report a vehicle as stolen to law enforcement due to it not being returned. Reyes Rentals LLC may repossess any vehicle booked through the Services without demand, at the guest’s expense, if the vehicle is not returned by the end of the reservation, is found illegally parked, apparently abandoned, or used in violation of applicable law or these Terms. If a vehicle you have booked through the Services goes missing and/or is stolen during the reservation period (or extension period), you must immediately return the original ignition key to the host, file a police report immediately after discovering the vehicle is missing or stolen, but in no event more than 24 hours after discovering it has gone missing, and cooperate fully with the host, Reyes Rentals LLC, law enforcement, and other authorities in all matters related to the investigation.
